How paying a bill works
Upload the statement
Snap a photo or upload the PDF, then confirm the amount and due date.
We review it
Usually within one business day. We check the bill and the biller's details.
We pay your biller in full
Within one business day of approval. We email you the confirmation number.
You pay it back in two
Two payments, no interest and no late fees.
A few rules that keep bills on time
- Upload at least 3 business days before the due date (2 if you pay by card), so the payment arrives on time.
- We can't pay a bill that's more than 30 days past due, because it may be with a collections agency. Ask the biller for a current statement instead.
- Each bill has to fit your monthly limit: up to $500 and 2 bills on Plus, up to $1,000 and 3 bills on Pro.
- Only the bill types on this page are covered. Not sure about yours? Ask us in chat or at support@autofloat.co.
About paying bills
How will I know my biller was paid?
We email you as soon as the payment is sent, with a confirmation number, and it shows in your dashboard.
Does my biller need to sign up?
No. We pay them directly, and they don't need an AutoFloat account.
Can I pay the same bill every month?
Yes. Use Pay again on a past bill, and we'll remind you when the next one is due.
What if my bill is due very soon?
You can still upload it. If it's due in less than 3 business days, we'll pay it as quickly as we can, but the biller may charge a late fee.
Your next bill, covered.
We pay your biller in full. You pay it back in two, with no interest and no late fees.
